Catwoman, Vol. 1: Copycats

The latest relaunch of Catwoman goes for a down-to-earth mood, with her relocating to a city in southern California in the aftermath of being jilted. The story is a little confused; for one thing, the “copycats” of the story title don't seem to have much to do with anything and largely get forgotten about a third of the way through. There is some visceral action, helped by a dynamic and gritty art style, and some decent characterisation of Selina, but nothing much stands out at this point. I'd say this certainly has promise, but it's promise that has yet to be fulfilled.
