Well... this was not the comfort read I was expecting it to be and I'm not sure how to rate it.
The story is well written, I've found Charlie adorable, but the way she was treated was a bit triggering for me. I wanted her to feel secure and be happy and the ending didn't offer me that assurance. I'm not even convinced William is the right guy for her.
That being said, the book had great moments like the weekend with the family, I just wished it had more of them.
Read this if you like:

thank you to Ella maise for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
okay first of all, i love Ella's writing and just how she creates these situations that make you want to keep reading.
If I'm being honest, it did take me a while to actually like Charlie. That's probably because I'm not used to people being so completely transparent and 100% themselves; she was a bit embarrassing at times and made me cringe BUT i did end up loving her by the end of it.
Will, my lovely William. i love you. you can have my heart. that is all I will say about him.
overall, i give this book a 3.75/5. i was a bit disappointed, and i don't think i can exactly pinpoint why. to be frank, i started this right before my exams started and was reading a couple chapters here and there during exams, so it could be because i wasn't fully invested. But there were definitely times where I was bored.
