Charlie the Ranch Dog: Charlie's Snow Day

Super Cute, Quick Read for Children Who Adore Animals

This book is a quick read (at least, for those of us who already know how; it may take a little longer for hesitant or struggling readers) with just the right balance of drama and fun. It covers a snow day at a ranch, from the point of view of one of the dogs in a family with a child, parents, and two dogs. Charlie, the main dog character and narrator, is initially excited about snow but soon grows weary of the stuff... only to discover that everyone else loves it. Walter, the other dog, loves it so much that he manages to get into trouble, causing Charlie to have to intervene! I won't explain more, but it has good pacing and an interesting plot which I'm sure most young animal lovers will appreciate.
