So I don't read a lot of paranormal romances. I find that they tend to either be excessively violent or graphic in the bedroom. I also get tired of the same old vampires and werewolves popping up in every story. So, I saw bear shifters and I figured I'd give it a try.

This story is different from other paranormal stories I've read in the past. Shifters are known to humans, and while they're probably not the most liked, they are acknowledged and mostly accepted. Levi and Juliet meet thought a dating app made specifically for shifters looking for their mates. What a neat idea in this day and age. My only real complaint is that the romance is rather quick, I mean they're basically mated within a couple weeks of meeting online and days within meeting in person. BUT, it is a paranormal and there's that animal instinct that tends to allow me to look over that instalove that drives me nuts.

The dual narration works and I particularly enjoyed both performances. Ashley Taylor and Calvin Murray both did a great job of creating voices for each of the characters and injecting feeling into their narrations. I can't wait to hear more from both of them.

I really enjoyed this book and kinda want to see what happens in this small Oregon community. Well done Ms Grove.
