This is the 2nd time I've read this book. I'm rereading the Blossom Street series in order and didn't want to skip this one. I'm glad I was able to find it through the digital library because I no longer have it. I increased my rating a little and decided to change my review because I did appreciate the story a little more this time around. I thought it was funny and I really needed a laugh right now.
This idea of someone writing witty Christmas letters for people to earn some extra Christmas money was pretty clever. I also loved reading about the frustration Katherine O'Connor had with her sister who is obsessed with a new parenting book called, “The Free Child.” K.O. disagrees with the principles that Dr. Jeffries teachers in his new parenting book, which is currently all the rage, and has turned her two twin nieces into undisciplined monsters. K.O. is very vocal about it and ends up getting thrown out of a bookstore and then embarrasses Dr. Jeffries at a coffee shop. Ironically, her neighbor decides to set her up with him and and as they talk they realize they actually like each other. Well, as long as they don't talk about the book. Is it possible to get past their differences? Time will tell.
