Not my kind of book, but (a) I have to admit it was entertaining to listen to in the car; and (b) I think it is probably a well-done effort in the crime/thriller genre. That said, i have some quibbles about mob stereotypes in the whole genre and also the occasional gratuitous sex. (Why, for example, did the main character's mother, a shadowy part of the novel, sleep with a college quarterback except to titillate the reader? That bit of ‘action' had nothing to do with anything.)
Ripped through this in two days. Haven't done that since the Harry Potter days. Snappy, pounding narrative that slaps you around like gabagool
