Color atlas of tropical medicine and parasitology

Color atlas of tropical medicine and parasitology

Although excellent textbooks exist on diseases of the tropics, few have a significant number of illustrations. For the inhabitants of tropical and subtropical regions infections such as malaria are the cause of an enormous burden of sickness and mortality. This and numerous other diseases caused, for example, by viruses, bacteria and parasites add to this burden. The continuing increase in international travel also exposes many people who visit endemic areas to diseases little known to physicians and other diagnosticians in their home countries. This pioneering book was a major contribution to the understanding and diagnosis of such conditions. The work, which contains 763 illustrations, mostly in color, complements the mainly verbal information available elsewhere.

Spanish version 'Atlas a Color de Medicina Tropical y Parasitologia' 1977; Italian version 'Parassitologia e Medicina Tropicale. Testo-atlante a Colori' 1980.
