I read this while a violent far-right protest was happening 15m walk from me, which is testament to how good it is. Clear, readable, pragmatic, relentless in its pursuit of reproductive freedom. Really fantastic.

(I read the 2016 edition because I am poor; I am now getting knowledge updates from e-SRH and will eventually buy the newest edition)

My one quibble - yes, China had very low STI rates in the 1980s, but they were also notoriously prone to publication bias. I get not wanting to wade into that when looking at international datasets, but still. Pinch of salt, when looking at the post-insertion infection data.
