Meet Wataru, an open book who wears his heart on his sleeve, and Minato, a man who always comes across as cool, calm, and collected. Though they're polar opposites, their shared love of photography brings them together in high school, and they become such good friends that they decide to rent a place together in college.
It's only when Minato moves across the country for work after graduation that Wataru realizes he's been harboring romantic feelings for the stoic gentleman this whole time. So when they reunite three years later, Wataru hopes they'll be able to reconnect as friends... but now it's Minato who seems to have his sights set on romance!
Friends or lovers - which will they choose? The countdown to their final decision is on!
This volume includes a special Animate Bonus chapter after the main story!

The relationship dynamics here is very similar the couple in Long Period. MC1 has been in love with friend MC2 but has kept it to himself despite all the obvious signs MC2 was giving that he loved him back. It does feel a little different in that Minato is and has been super oblivious about his feelings so now we're spending the whole book waiting for Wataru to stop being stubborn and in his own head.
While I was annoyed by the obliviousness in Long Period, I think I'm less annoyed about it here because it only lasted a chapter and didn't string me along for 2 whole fucking books. There's still a hint of "are we really gonna have this song and dance?" because Minato was not subtle at all in high school about his interest. It's just not as bad since it's we're not reading about Wataru being oblivious. We're reading about him being stubborn to preserve his friendship based on past romantic experiences. I love slow burns but ignoring the signs for 2 books and then acting surprised that they do love you back was definitely my limit. So, afterwards, I'm glad this is more about seeing them be cute together and Wataru slowly take Minato seriously after chapter 3.
Ya know what I did find much more annoying, though? Chapter 2 page 26. "I'm grown up now" "I'm the grown up Wataru" the hell are you, 15? What the fuck is this dialogue right now?
Bonus points for Lil' Boss. We respect Lil' Boss in this house.
