I was really disappointed when I realized where the plot was going - Christ's bones? Come on, Reichs. But she did a very good job with the plot, giving the reader plenty of intrigue without ever getting into any mystical nonsense. I found the references to The Da Vinci Code highly amusing (there may have been some that I missed, but I haven't read the book, and I was only half-way paying attention when I saw the movie).
Temperance Brennan is contacted to investigate some bones that may be possibly Jesus or in the family of Jesus. There are a lot of religious information which I found fascinating. I always love the forensic science in these books. These are different from the tv series Bones but I still really enjoy them.
I absolutely loved this one. It kept you going page after page and Kathy Reichs did a great job at building mystery and tension. I am excited to see if there are more books in the series that I like as much as this one
