Alosa's mission is finally complete. Not only has she recovered all three pieces of the map to a legendary hidden treasure, but the pirates who originally took her captive are now prisoners on her ship. Still unfairly attractive and unexpectedly loyal, first mate Riden is a constant distraction, but now he's under her orders.

This one was better than the first book, especially because I loved seeing Alosa grow into such a beautiful person. From being the daughter of the Pirate King, Alosa turns into the daughter of the Siren Queen and she turns against her father after discovering an awful secret he has kept from her all her life.
Racing for their lives and the treasure that awaits them on Isla de Canta, the Ava-lee crew have the Pirate's king fleet at their back and the gorgeous, but brutal sirens waiting for them on the island. Alosa has to make some tough decisions throughout the book and they're affecting her, but she is strong and she doesn't let the pain overcome her.
ALSO, I NEED MORE ALOSA AND RIDEN MOMENTS. I love everything about their relationship, how they try to avoid each other and bury their feelings, how they're always at each other's neck and pretend not to care, I love their banter and their fights, their cute moments. It's definitely a slow burn romance and I just wanted to scream “KISS ALREADY” at them, even though they couldn't hear me. I needed them together AND THEY NEEDED IT TOO, but they were too proud to admit it.
All in all, this was an amazing book and I'm really excited now to read more of Tricia's work (btw, definitely read The Shadows Between Us if you haven't already), because she has an incredible writing style!
The first one was better, but this one is still very enjoyable, although some plot points were a little lazily explained. But overall very entertaining !

I liked the first one more than this one. It was a very slow read and the ending was a little predictable. Hate to say it, because the first one was a 4,5 star read for me, but I was hoping for the same as the first one...
