Lots of fun sci-fi and murder-mystery tropes were twisted around in some surprising ways. A solid sci-fi story with some casually queer and non-binary representation. I'll definitely check out some more of Wallace's books.
Well, that was a ride! I really love this novel. I think sometimes the detail with which the events are described is a little too much, but overall the premise and the story was really fun, and I really enjoyed it.
I do wish. Perhaps the author had explored more about being main characters double standard on AI. I also wish. Maybe the ending had an epilogue or something to kind of tie it often. Let us know what happened to Hester afterwards.
I overall highly recommend this book for an adventure and sci-fi .
I liked the more science-y parts of it, whenever there was a flashback to the MCs past, whenever they talked about the technical stuff. I liked the world introduced, I liked the main characters situation... I didn't care for any of the mystery or “action” in the book, though I couldn't tell you why.
