I adore Hutchison's Collector series. They're perfect. From intriguing plots to believably flawed characters. This book didn't do it for me...I found myself wandering if these characters were entirely unrealistic or if my college was just vastly different from these girls. The dialogue felt childish at times and my eyes blurred during several of the main character's diatribes.
That said—the end almost made the entire thing worth it. It was such a masterfully crafted ending that I originally wanted to give it 4-stars. However, as I thought back over my initial impressions, I had to mark it lower.
If you're curious about this murder-mystery style of book, skip this one and read The Butterfly Garden; I can't recommend her Collector series enough.
