Dealings in the Dark

It's not often that a book with only a little over 100 pages grabs me the way this one did. There are even a couple of twists thrown in. Honestly it doesn't even feel like a novella with how full the story is.

Alex made a Faustian bargain as a child. A bargain she didn't even realize she made to begin with. And someone is coming to collect their due.

A quick read featuring an utterly insufferable demon and an ending that promises interesting things to come.
At times it almost seemed like the story was just about ready to take a turn for the cozy and I really enjoyed that it didn't.
