I recently discovered Kimberly Belle and have read 3 of her books in a few weeks.
This one is my favourite so far!
I devoured this in a day, it's that much of a page-turner.
An occupational hazard of being a thriller writer is picking plot twists early but that didn't diminish my enjoyment of this story one iota. If anything I turned the pages faster to discover how it would play out.
Beth is a kickass heroine that is just brilliant.
Loved all the twists and turns!
Recommend.
felt like Gone Girl and Sleeping with the Enemy then veered into something new and different. Very satisfying ending.
Maybe a 3.5. Entertaining and kept me VERY engaged. But I've read better wife-thrillers.
Girl Gone Good. The easiest way to tell you about this particular book, my first from Ms. Belle, is that it very much evokes the Gone Girl vibe. Thus, whether you're a fan of that work or not will give you a good indication of whether this book may be for you - though if your feelings toward that book are not particularly negative, I would still recommend giving this one a try. And if you're not familiar with that work... what rock have you been living under for the last few years? :D
On its own, this is a solid mystery told from three perspectives - a woman on the run, a man she is running from, and a cop investigating the disappearance. The key difference between this tale and Gone Girl is that this tale doesn't suddenly and mind-warpingly pivot halfway through, but instead begins to drop major clues in the back half of the book before explicitly revealing itself with about 15% left in the book, leading to the finale.
Overall an excellent work thanks to the back half in particular, and I'm very much looking forward to future work from Ms. Belle. Very recommended.
I purchased the Kindle version of Dear Wife by Kimberly Belle on Amazon and simultaneously listened to the audiobook which I borrowed from the library via the Libby app. I really enjoyed this book, but there were a few trigger moments for me so it wasn't the easiest read, by any means, and it was so very realistic that I had to step away and regroup a couple of times. However, I believe the sensitive situations and how the story unfolds made it all better in the end and is why I gave it 5 stars.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. I would caution you from watching any YouTube reviews or reading blog reviews beforehand. Please do check them out afterward, because there really are some good ones, but when I was trying to decide which Kimberly Belle book I was going to pick up next, I watched 2 that promised no spoilers, but they failed. Their choices for casting gave away one of the biggest twists in the book. I was disappointed about these spoilers so I'm giving a warning. ;) Hope you pick this up and enjoy it.

I found it very hard to read - not because it was terribly written, but because it was a little too well-written and the subject matter of domestic abuse hits a little too close to home. The book kept me on my toes, and I loved it.
As for claims of discrimination, we're being walked through a character's thoughts, and if you don't actively opine in your thoughts, then you might as well be an angel from heaven.
A good, solid thriller with a twist I didn't guess which is a bonus! Listened to this one on audio and definitely recommend as the voice actors were great.
