Detection Detail

This one was a miss for me. I managed to finish because it was a review book, but I never clicked with the characters and I found the conversations often stilted and unrealistic, such as having characters' conversation to explain concepts to other characters in the same career (conversations that would either never happen or be met with serious eye rolls in real life), etc. There were also a number of scenarios that seemed to be really a stretch for my believability.

I'll read more of this author and series later on, but this book in particular just wasn't for me.
