A Primer on Biblical Healing The transformational healing ministry of Jesus stands in stark contrast to what many Christians have come to believe today: that God doesn't always heal sickness, that healing is primarily attained through modern medicine, that God cares about spiritual health more than physical health. Andrew Murray (1828-1917), preacher, pastor, and brilliant theologian, believed that God was deeply committed to healing in both body and soul. When Murray grew ill and lost his voice for more than two years, he engaged in an intense study of healing in Scripture, seeking an answer to the question that many have asked: Should I pursue medical treatment, or exclusively seek healing from the Lord? Murray directs the reader back to Scripture and the many examples of Jesus healing the sick.
