Dominion

Another well-known horror writer whom I have only recently read. I would attempt once more, but this book also left me cold. There were slightly interesting mythological references. But the story relied far too much on sex, gore, mutilation, and genitalia–a trend I feel I've read quite a bit lately; this does not enhance the story. It often detracts, because it is seldom used well enough to justify it. I would like to read something else by Mr Little to see if such things are the norm, or if this book was merely a fluke, a lark, a chance occurrence.
