This book was very interesting at the beginning. The kinda like “Mad Max” atmosphere in a post-apocalyptic world with a strong female character seemed to be promising. I think the world building was okay to set up the background of the story. For me the problem was the characters themselves who weren't so convincing.

Raina Bowen, the protagonist, a bad-ass ice trucker finds herself into a “hide and seek” situation with some bad guys. She intended to continue her life as low-profile as possible but the encounter with a bad-ass-ice-cold stranger called Wizard changes her plans. It turns out, obviously, there is a sexual tension between Raina and Wizard and she has to rethink her values.

Okay, I enjoyed the relationship aspect of this book because it didn't use the traditional trope of “girl falls in love with hot guy and waits to be corresponded”. In this case, it seemed to me that the guy was more desperate than her. The main villain of the story was supposed to be very, very scary but in reality he lacked some depth.

Oh, and I believe there was some editing issues with this book because I could notice by some abrupt transitions between chapters that maybe one or two chapters have been deleted from the book. It was weird.
