Most of the sixth graders at Memorial Middle School are excited about the big boy-girl party, but not Lucia, who's put off by all the talk about what to wear and who to date. However, when she gets to know Adesh (the boy who sits on her favorite bench in the park), she starts thinking that there might be something to this dating thing after all.
