Juliet Marillier, nacida en Dunedin (Nueva Zelanda), saltó a la fama en el ámbito de la narrativa con la primera parte de la trilogía Sieteaguas, La hija del bosque, que obtuvo el premio a la mejor novela de fantasy del Romantic Times Magazine y el Alex de la American Library Association. También fue finalista del Romantic Book of the Year y del premio Aurealis a la mejor novela de fantasy, que después ganó con la segunda entrega del ciclo, El hijo de las sombras. La trilogía Sieteaguas ha sido traducida a varias lenguas (alemán, italiano, neerlandés, portugués). Posteriormente ha publicado también El espejo oscuro y La espada de Fortiu, entre otras novelas.

Beautiful story.
After my last book, this is exactly what I needed to pull me back to female-led fantasy epics.
A great sequel to Daughter of the Forest. Liadan shows a different form of strength than her mother, but she is just as relatable and amazing.
