Elliot Jelly-Legs and the Bobblehead Miracle
“Being the best isn't nearly as important as being myself”
Overall Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ (3/5) or 6.57/10 overall
Characters - 6
The characters had some depth, but all the side-characters felt a bit one dimensional to me. :/
Atmosphere - 7
Not a ton of description, but I could still reasonably picture the scenarios.
Writing - 6
It was decent overall. Some parts definitely felt like they could have been fleshed out more.
Plot - 7
The plot was much more than just hockey all the time, which I liked. However, the ending felt very rushed, so that wasn't great.
Intrigue - 7
I was thoroughly intrigued for most of the book, but there were points where I could predict what was going to happen.
Logic - 6
A fair amount of logic, but definitely points where more details would have helped the story make more sense.
Enjoyment - 7
I'm not a big sports enjoyer, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this book. I'd definitely recommend it to any kid who is really into hockey tho, especially since I don't see a lot of books where hockey is the main sport.
