3.5 stars. This book was hard to get into. It was a pretty slow beginning but picked up a bit around the halfway mark. Overall, the writing was beautiful and the storytelling was compelling. I just couldn't get over how slow paced it was.
Nearly 3 months later and I still think about this book regularly. The imagery of this book left me dazed and the reflection on motherhood pierced me through. This one won't be for everyone, but it's a treasure nonetheless.
