I enjoyed it, had me hooked from the very first chapter but that MMC gave me the burning desire to beat him to a 🩸 pulp. He was infuriating when he would continuously say “But I’ve apologized” as if the FMC wasn’t entitled to heal on her own time. Not only did she have to put up with his abuse but she had to deal with abuse inflicted by others because they wanted to get back at the HIM.
Portia was a backstabbing snake but what’s to be expected from someone who stands by while other women are being 🍇d daily… (I didn’t expect the betrayal, in fact, it annoyed me when I found out).
Rinaya was power-hungry and a liar and I knew it the minute she spoke to Kiera.
And Grayson… what’s there to like about Grayson? The man couldn’t take a freaking hint even if you drew him a freaking map and he was just so insufferable. His ending wasn’t satisfying enough for me.
This book is for lovers of all things dark. For the love of god, as soon as you open the book you see “Please prioritize yourself and your health” so please read the content warnings before you pick this up, there are some scenes that could be triggering for many people.

This is an Advanced Reader copy. Although this book was given to me as an ARC my thoughts are my own. Thank you to Madilyn DeRose and Booksirens for the ARC opportunity!
