Escape from the Carnival of Horrors

This one was campy and a little fun, but also just way too quick and all over the place for my tastes. Quite a few of the ‘bad' endings are just boring and some are left to literal chance instead of choices - things like whether you can throw a ball in the air and clap three times before catching it or what day of the week it is in real life. I suppose that can, in some way, simulate the chance aspect of rolling dice in a tabletop RPG, but the writing just isn't strong enough to carry that kind of element.In fact, the writing doesn't feel up to par with other Goosebumps books. It's missing... something. Flow? Detail? Give-a-crap?
