Exhumation

France is battling to recover after the trauma of the First World War, clearing its countryside of the detrius of war, and employing an army of thousands to exhume the many forgotten and lonely souls who still lay in the former battlefields. Tommy Lewis, a waiter from Lewisham, his life ebbing away pointlessly, joins this massive band of makeshift undertakers. He joins for the right reasons...to free the lost army of heroes. But he soon finds out that many of his fellow workers are there only for themselves, to get rich from the suffering of others. And they will cheat, maim and murder to make sure that they do.
