Escaping from a failed romance, Eleanor heads to her parents’ home in the country while they are away on vacation. Locked out on arrival, she is confronted with next door neighbor Miles Carew, the handsome older brother of her childhood playmates, who thinks she’s a burglar. Now divorced and retired from the army, Miles is trying to find out who’s behind a rash of break-ins and other incidents in the area. Eleanor wants to help, not least so she can spend more time with the man she idolized as a teenager. This time he seems to have taken notice of her too.
