Oh my goodness Tessa Bailey for the win with this one! This was such a fun read, I truly devoured it! Fangirl Down follows Josephine, a golf super-fan in need of money, and Wells, a grumpy golfer who is off his game. When Wells wants to reenter the tour, he hires Josephine to be his caddie, and she helps him get his game back. Fangirl Down is a grumpy/sunshine spicy romcom that was truly everything. The medical representation was so well done. I loved the tension between Josephine and Wells and the romance was so hot! No third act breakup, just an absolute win! I never thought I'd be into a golf romance, but here I am absolutely fangirling about this book! Fangirl Down is an adult romance, 18+ for sexual content.
Was A book I read it nothing special but at the same time I can't say anything bad becaue it wouldbe be true
3.5 stars.
I had a good time with this book and found the dynamic between the two main characters very fun. However, there were a few moments where the hero was a bit much. But, I had fun and there were moments that made me laugh out loud.

this actually wasn't that awful. the plot and romance were good, if a little bit unrealistic and cringy. the spice was so unhinged tho, and there was a lot more than i was expecting (i mean A LOT a lot). i really liked josephine. wells (age 29), unfortunately has the same brash, violent bully personality as my student wells (age 5) which made him almost completely unlikable for me, but one of them is getting play therapy to help with it. take a guess which one. josephine u deserve beter bbygirl

This book was like eating an entire bag of my favorite chips (or tropes) in one sitting and I had such a good time reading it.
This was such a fun take on a grumpy sunshine sport romance. Josephine's sunshine is capable, smart, and sassy and Wells remains a grump even when revealing a heart of gold. It's true insta-love. Wells is concerned, lightly possessive, protective, and a marshmallow under a bad boy exterior. Josephine is talented, loyal, driven, and funny. They don't fall in love, they collide and it's enjoyable to watch.
One of my favorite tropes is hurt/comfort and you get a little bit of that throughout this one. I can't speak to the accuracy of golf or diabetes representation, but as someone unfamiliar with both it came across fine.
As always with Tessa Bailey, you get a pretty even balance of heartfelt character growth, banter, spice, and plot action. My only complaint is that you really kind of just get thrown into the middle of things and it feels like things get set up very fast. Not even just the romance, but getting to know them both as characters before being expected to understand their motivations.
Also if you spend the entire book, like me, worrying about a surprise video scandal with all the canoodling these two do in public, then you can be relieved to know that you don't need to worry about it!
