Lovely as usual. I think this just might be the best Flavia book so far. Just Buckshaw this time, as everyone is snowed in, but the plot is thick and Flavia clever as usual. Interesting chemistry is involved.

As far as the side characters come, the charming old Dogger gets more light shed on this character; he is an interesting fellow, with surprising skills and capabilities.

All in all, a lovely little romp, proper feel-good literature. What a funny idea, Flavia trying to catch Santa Claus with bird glue!
