Great pacing and balance between character building and action.

The story really didn't go the way I expected it would, what I got was better than what I expected. Also, Daniel was a fantastic main character, flawed but self-aware even when flirting with denial and blessed with a pretty good flair for the dramatic and funny.

While the story would fall under Christmas horror I think it's a solid read regardless of season.
