For most of the book, this was a 3-star book for me - it was an interesting concept, I liked the characters, etc.
But the ending was really rushed. Nothing was resolved, and I just felt like it left off in the middle of a chapter. And I get the appeal of not having everything wrapped up all neatly - it's nice to have a somewhat “realistic” ending sometimes. But this didn't even feel like an ending at all.
Plus, there was just so much about London's memory issues that weren't explained. Just, oh it must have happened when this thing happened when she was 6.
The only thing I can think is that there'll be a sequel. If there's at least one more book, I think I'll forgive this one. :)
Recommended to me by a member of the TBC. This was great, I really loved it. I have actually read similar plots that fell flat and got boring, but not this one! London is a great character with a great voice.
Was hoping for a sequel, but CP's blog says no. Oh, well, I will still keep passing this title around. It's a keeper!
