Catherine Cowles can simply do no wrong!

This is my 11th book from this author and whilst I can say that there is a structure to her books, this isn't a bad thing. I enjoy the formula and always works for me.

Her books always include an amazing family setup and Sparrow Falls is no different - in this series we follow a family of mostly adopted siblings but they're just as close as the Hartleys and the Eastons.

Catherine is the queen of romantic suspense and this book really takes it up a notch with ties back to Anson's past as an FBI profiler.

All in all, I loved this as I expected to and can't wait for book 2 in August.

ANSON!! We finally get to see the story behind Anson! We have been getting sneak peaks of Anson for awhile now, and I have been DYING 😩 for him to get a book.

Rhodes is a new character to the Catherine universe, and she did not disappoint. Rhodes was a very complex character who has been through so much in her life. After tragically losing her family in a fire she is placed with a foster family who cares for her. When Rhodes returns home after time away, she is determined to rebuild the home she lost when it burned down. ENTER Anson the HOT 🔥 retired FBI agent turned contractor. Anson is now helping her rebuild her family home and Rhodes is helping him find happiness again after a tragic past.

Both Rhodes and Anson will have to overcome their past fears when Rhodes becomes the target of someone’s attention once again. Watching their growth was beautiful and I absolutely loved this amazing FOUND FAMILY and I am so excited for this series! 🤍🩷

This was my first Catherine Cowles book and I am so delighted! I did find it a bit hard to get into but the second half of the book was excellent. Things that pissed me off... Rho (FMC) (and I find this happening in many books) refuses or fights against security measures even tho her life is in danger. Like Why? Anson (MMC) I thought was decent. Was a dick at the beginning but I felt like he became better towards the end. Side characters were great.

<spoiler>I found it a little bit hard to believe that the serial killer Anson was tracking for years was also the kid that killed Rho's family. Anson just happened to pick THAT town to live to after leaving the FBI and it JUST happened to be where the guy not only lives but grew up!?!? </spoiler>
