Fright Night: The Novelization

Fright Night: The Novelization

1985 • 266 pages

Charley Brewster is an average teenager who's interests include horror movies and girls, but his life is turned upside-down when he discovers his new neighbor is a vampire.

Novelization of the 1985 film by Skipp and Spector, adapted from the screenplay by Holland. The book follows the script fairly closely with only slight embellishments, but without the advantage of seeing Chris Sarandon's nuanced performance prior to writing, the authors portrayed the vampire as more of an inhuman monster.
