If you thought the boss alien was overpowered in the previous volume, well, as per the author's usual antics, you ain't seen nothing yet. The way it was taken down... wasn't particularly satisfying, but at least the team actually did some teamwork, when most fights had been mano-a-mano, with team members just watching as teammates launch attacks one at a time. But at least the mission's finally over. As the survivors lick their wounds and cry over lost teammates, well, seeing as the boss was worth straight-up a 100 points, someone got to keep his promise and brought back the dead protagonist. And just like before, nobody reacts to the two vampires who also survived, despite their ambiguous loyalties during the whole mission. I'm going to guess that this will be the last time we see vampires...
With a final twist at the end, the overarching plot seems to be finally going somewhere, and that's a good thing. I guess one of Nishi's purpose was to show this twist. Somehow I think he'll just die in a lame way like the previous “villain” teammate once his purpose was served. Oh and this whole reviving business is now confirmed to be some sort of cloning or replication.
