To be honest, one of the reasons why this mange is a page turner is because there's actually not much to read. Most of the panels are just sound effects. Any dialogue there is, is mostly repeated. Kurono and Tae and his belief that he will survive, Katou and his brother, etc. I think the author had fun depicting famous landmarks and dialing up the destruction and death.
