Girls' Night Out A Novelby Liz Fenton; Lisa Steinke A beautiful, haunting story of friendship and what happens when that friendship is put to the test. A must-read for women of all ages!!! The author and Netgally should be proud of themselves for producing this work of fiction. This book made me love my best friend a little more after reading this because this because while this was a great thriller it made me sad for the friendships in these pages. You will feel like you are reading two stories that come together so well and you will want to know how these woman's lives are alone and the secrets between them are intermixed. Ashley, Natalie, and Lauren have traveled all the way to Tulum, Mexico in hopes of rekindling their previous friendships. The book opens in present time. Natalie awakens the morning of their last day in Mexico. She panics when she realizes she's not in her hotel bed. She's not in any bed. She is outside the hotel, on the beach alone. Natalie's memory is black in spots and she goes on a search for the other girls. She goes to Ashley's room everything is there but Ashley....... She continues to Lauren's room and they come to the conclusion that Ashley is gone. Did she go willingly, was she kidnapped?? What has happened and why is Lauren the only one unfazed? The book flips between all three women's prospective. There were times that I wish the book slowed down a bit so I could keep the facts straight but once you get a feel for the set-up of the book then you will find that this book is a fun read. I will say that I expected a light read because of the title but what I got was an adventure with a little bit of mystery. A four-star read for me will be reading more from these ladies for sure.
