Gratify

This book is hard for me to rate, truthfully I am a dark and smutty gal when it comes to book and this was far from what I normally read. Putting that aside, this book covered grief and forbidden romance beautifully. The dire need felt between our main characters was perfection. This relationship was toxic but there was no doubt that it wasn't fate. The forbidden aspect of godfather and ex-boyfriends dad was everything I needed and adding in grief, workplace, and so much drama added a whole other dimension to this book. I am conflicted about my rating. Objectively, the book is a 5 stars. The writing, plot, character development were all impeccable. Personally, I felt myself getting tired of the back and forth and the ending didn't satisfy me.
