I'm really glad I borrowed this from the library. Spending any actual money on it would make me grumpy. I do enjoy the memes but this book was milking Tardar Sauce's popularity to its limits. Strictly for hardcore fans only.
They're really trying to milk this grumpy cat thing for all they can, aren't they?
To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of Grumpy Cat, so this book already had an uphill battle. The problem is, this book is so hastily put together and doesn't have any real substance. It's just a bunch of jokes on the concept of “this cat is so grumpy, isn't it funny?”. You can easily read this is one sitting. And when you're done, you're not really sure what you just read.
This book is only for people who find Grumpy Cat hilarious. It's not for people who have never heard of Grumpy Cat, which is a shame, because it could have attracted a wider audience for people who don't follow memes.
I would have enjoyed stories about grumpy cat more. How did he come to be? What has his life been like now that he's famous? I don't know.. something?
(I feel like I put more effort into this review than the authors did in this book)
