This horror film novelization is based on the horror film Halloween (2018) which is part of a trilogy of horror films Halloween (2018) Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends.
In my opinion, Halloween (2018) is the best film in the trilogy, Halloween Kills was meh in general (in my opinion) I didn't care about the political & mob mentality aspect of the film, I haven't read the novelization of it yet.
I liked half of the plot of Halloween Ends, but I really hated how they made Michael Myers a secondary character to newer characters, although I did like a young male psychopathic male character, but they made Michael Myers look weak, and pathetic as well which I hate. So yet another meh film that I don't really care about.
I've been a fan of the Halloween film franchise since I was a teenager, Michael Myers is one of my favourites fictional serial killers, The Shape has come home.
I love the mystique, unanswered questions about MIchael Myers, if they were explained, it would ruin the mystery of Michael Myers, it's better to never conclusively explain why he is the way he is.
The plot of this book and the film is a slow-burner, it takes awhile to build up tension, a creepy atmosphere, but I have always loved this about the Halloween film franchise, it's awesome to be able to read this novelization because i've never had the chance to read the novelization of the first Halloween film from (1978)
I don't understand what the National Honor Society thing is that's mentioned in the book, because we probably don't have that type of thing in British Schools, Universities.
I like the plot of this film, it's been 40 years since Michael Myers has returned to Haddonfield, Illinois, since he has returned home.
Laurie now has PTSD (Post Traumatic, Stress Disorder) from the traumatic event of her friends and sister being murdered by her brother Michael Myers.
She was adopted after her sister Judith was murdered by Michael when he was 6 years old.
Signs of psychopathy are evident in a child's behaviour/attitude/perception of people in general from a very young age, so it makes sense that Michael murdered his sister at 6 years old.
Not sure about anyone else but while reading this book, I am listening to the Halloween film franchise soundtracks to set the right mood/atmosphere for reading the Halloween film novelizations.
If you didn't know already there is a new version of the Halloween theme song by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross it's spooky and it's 7 minutes long.
I always love to listen to ambient music that's related to what I am reading about, it helps me to concentrate and it's relaxing to listen.
