Elsie Silver never ceases to amaze me, and every book I read from her gets better and better! Cade Eaton, y'all! Cade freaking Eaton! Every time I think the men Elsie writes can't get more dreamy, I fall in love with another one. This book is the second installment in the Chestnut Springs series and follows Cade Eaton (Rhett's brother) and Willa (Summer's best friend). Cade needs a nanny for his son and when Summer suggests Willa, they agree to give it a try. This is a single dad romance with forced proximity, age gap, amazing sexual tension, and all the steam and spice! This book had me cackling at moments because the banter is top tier— some of the best I've read! Cade is such a grump, and he has hardened his heart because of his past. Willa is a sassy and confident younger woman who turns his world upside down. This was such a fun read! I loved every bit of it— the story, the romance, the banter, the characters— all of it. This book is an adult small town romance, 18+ for sexual content and themes.
Too woke, didn't like any of the characters. Cade was all about tits and butts. Main female character blamed patriarchy for underwear lmao.
“He's a challenge and look at me, I love a challenge.”
Synopsis
Cade Easton, grumpy single-dad, is struggling to find a nanny for his adorable kid Luke. His future sister-in-law Summer has a solution - her best friend Willa is in need of a summer job while the bar she manages is being renovated.
“Willa might be a bit of a psycho - after all, she did just push a child into the pool - but the more time I spend with her, the more I feel like she's my psycho.”
Tropes and Themes
“If Willa is the playground, I want to play.”
My Thoughts
“If I weren't so irritated by how attracted I am to her, I'd be cheering her on.”
Its rare for me to say it, but this is definitely worth the hype!
I loved everything about this from start to finish - the characters, the family, the ranch, the relationship, the spice, it was all perfect!

Definitely my top2 of the year. This book was amazing, incredible... I do not have words to explain how good this was.
This book, it story and its characters make the giggle, laugh, scream, blush and cry. Cade and Willa are so increíble and LUKE stole my heart since his first appearance.
My only issue was the age gap but nobody is perfect, is was easily to forget during their interaction because it didn't feel that much of a difference. Also they are so good to each other and Cade deserves all the love he can get.
Extra tip: read while you have the Spotify playlist on the background, is 10 times better.
Love it. Highly recommended.
See, now, when Cade figured it out, he figured it out. What a luxury to have a hero with emotional maturity, who introspects and is aware of his own shortcomings, and most importantly who chases his girl down to not leave any misunderstandings
rating - 4.5/5
A single dad-nanny, grumpy-sunshine with the cutest 5 year old to exist? You just know that I HAVE to pick that up :)
Let's be fair, most of us read flawless only so we could read this. While flawless was pretty okay, there was just a lot of focus on a cowboy sport that i didn't care enough about? Heartless on the other hand, was...everything. The small town vibes were absolutely immaculate. Luke and Willa had my entire heart <3
And the spice...sighs THIS↓ need i say more???
“Let me hear it, baby. Say thank you.” She clears her throat, eyes darting away. “Thank you.”
“Good girl.”
I grip her chin and turn her face up to me. “That's what you're going to say to me all night. Every time I tell you something good about you. Are we clear?”
Easily another 5 star. I knew it about half way through the book. Lucas is the sweetest kid. Melts my heart. Cade has really been through it and you can tell the emotion that you get while reading the book. And I love Willa's banter with Cade. I loved it. Loved. It.
