This was my first Meg Anne book (if we don't count the co-authored book I read last month) and it won't be my last. And not just because it ended on a cliffhanger.
There is something compelling and captivating about Meg's writing that kept me glued to my earbuds. Of course, I didn't do any research, so wasn't aware it ended on a cliffhanger, and is in fact, a true series. You know what that means? Yep! I've found a new series to binge. And I cannot wait.
Lina is a ghost who suddenly has a body. She doesn't remember anything about her past. Enter Nord, a guardian, who instinctively knows she is his charge. As they work together to try and find out about Lina's past, they're attraction builds until it is undeniable. Nord tries to fight it, but Lina has other ideas. It's a fun story of mystery, magic, murder, and attraction. A must listen.
Shane East and Stella Hunter perform this story in duet, and it is brilliant. Their voices complement each other perfectly. They give each character such a unique voice that it was easy to know who was speaking and when. The production came across as seamless and was a high quality listen.
