Delightful little story with a dual timeline. The Andrew Henning timeline is my favorite still, as it has been through the whole series. I just couldn't get enough of his story and I really wanted it to be longer! Wow, but they had to deal with a lot of heartache, especially during WW2 years.

The contemporary timeline is just as heartfelt as a baker and a businessman try to sort through some serious life issues. They are real issues and it doesn't seem like both characters can possibly get what they want out of life. But do they really want what is best for them? Both have worthy motives.

Likeable characters made it so easy to root for a happy ending. Delightful book that I gobbled in a single day!
