I don't know what to make of this book. Apparently it's supposed to be funny. It tries to be. Anyway, the last chapter has some good wisdom although in general, the book is a tad too...Christian-y for me.
Good book, and funny! Even if there are too many pop-culture references I didn't know. The reason why it gets 3 instead of 4 stars is that I fundamentally disagree with the advice that you should expect marriages to have infidelity and suffering. Suffering does not require practice. Being married means being humble in your heart and making it easy to love your partner.
Glad I read it, but I won't read it again. I do, however, recommend this book to everyone. I read it aloud with my spouse and thoroughly enjoyed the story.
My rating scheme:
5 stars: want to read again, have read multiple times, the book is a journey of the heart and mind.
4: great, phenomenal book. No complaints.
3: good book, maybe with some flaws. Recommended.
2: ok book or only recommend on specific circumstances. May have serious flaws/issues.
1: not a book for me or could not finish. Don't reccomend.
