Imaginary Jesus

Short review: This is a good, unique Christian fiction book. It is more of a parable than a novel (think more Pilgrims Progress than Chronicles of Narnia.) The main character is told by the Apostle Peter that his friend Jesus is actually an imaginary Jesus not the real Jesus. So Matt, helped out by Peter and a talking Donkey and some others, work through Matt's imaginary Jesuses until they find the real one. Good writing and it doesn't feel like propaganda or a sermon unlike much Christian fiction.
