Fiona Cole just captures me with her words and I can't stop turning the page. Imagine Me was everything I hoped it would be based off the synopsis. It was fun and flirty and had an arsehole character that you cannot help but love. I loved Juliana and Shane's dynamic. Their banter was so fun. The brother's best friend aspect was wonderful and adding in the age gap - pure perfection.
I loved these characters so freaking much. Shane Daniels is an arsehole. BUT, the way he redeemed himself was pure perfection. I don't know how Juliana held out so long. I would have been putty in his hands. It was fun seeing his character develop and change. He started off scared, and who could blame him, Jack MacCabe is his best friend...his family, he doesn't want to lose that by sleeping with his little sister, but deep down it was obvious he was conflicted over his feelings for Juliana - case in point, repeatedly sleeping with her lol.
Juliana MacCabe is a woman on a mission. She wants to be independent and live her life, she doesn't want or need to be micromanaged. It's just a shame none of the men her life understand that. From her father to her brother to her ex, they all think they know what's best, and even though Shane tries to push her away by treating her like a child, she breaks through his walls and he's the only man to really respect her as a strong woman. I loved that Juliana made mistakes, but she owned them, and moved on. It didn't make her weak. She wasn't afraid to cry, but then picked herself up after and was the bad-ass bitch she is! I so want Jolene to have a book, and it was fun to see Evie and Jameson, and Luella and Jack again. Like a visit from an old friend.
