Oh this was so good! I have a few books by this author downloaded but this is the first I've read and now I want to immediately go and read the others.
The main plot being a isolated murder mystery, directly referencing Agatha Christie's ‘And Then There Were None', it was taught, tense and chilling. I loved the atmosphere of the cold Canadian wilderness and back and forth of the short alternating chapters.
This really struck a chord with me, as I have a one year old son, so I felt every emotion intended with the back story of a child being killed in a hit and run which is the catalyst for the events of the story. I couldn't even begin to imagine.
I hope she turns this into a series as I'd happily read about Mason and Callie again!
(Major trigger warnings for death of a child, amongst other things)
