Andy Weir has concocted a wickedly clever tale in “James Moriarty Consulting Criminal.” This book is what happens when you cross a mastermind villain with a penchant for consulting and a rap sheet longer than my TBR list.
Our titular character, James Moriarty, is a devilishly charming gentleman, always a step ahead of everyone else. Weir captures the essence of what makes Moriarty so enticing and wraps it up in a cunning narrative that leaves you begging for more. The only crime this book commits is being too short – I found myself wanting to delve deeper into the twisted mind of this enigmatic anti-hero.
If you're looking for a quick and wickedly fun read, “James Moriarty Consulting Criminal” is the guilty pleasure you've been waiting for. Just be prepared to want more, for Moriarty's dark charm is as inescapable as his diabolical schemes.
It's a cute fun afternoon read. I enjoyed it and would like to find a deeper take on this concept with a more advanced Moriarty.
