Japanese Graded Readers Level 1 expands on the concepts learned in Level 0, incorporating new vocabulary, kanji and increasingly challenging grammar structures. Level 1 is designed for a proficiency level equivalent to JLPT N4-N5. Each of the 5 stories in this boxed set is approximately 400-1500 characters long and covers 350 vocabulary words. The stories are accompanied by beautiful illustrations that support learners' comprehension. The companion audio CD contains a full-text narration by native Japanese speakers to give learners a benchmark for proper pronunciation and intonation.
