'Ah, yes! Jennings - as usual - it always is' Jennings accidentally sets his rubber on fire. 'The High Fidelity Telephonic Communication' (or two tins and a piece of string); the 'Affair of the Assistant Masterpiece' and Jennings as a musical prodigy. Old Wilkie is definitely not going to get the peace and quiet he was hoping for. 'Mouldy chizz!'

The Jennings series is a set of books that tells the story of a schoolboy, J.C.T. Jennings, while at preparatory school. Jennings loves to make things and is wildly creative, and his ideas always get him in trouble with school staff. Somehow Jennings manages to charm his way out of any real trouble. Jennings has a partner-in-crime, Darbishire, who goes along, somewhat reluctantly, with the wild schemes Jennings proposes.
I found this book in the series as an audiobook. Even though this series was begun in the early 1950s, it held up well. Very funny.
