By the time I got through reading Summer Kisses, I was in my happy place. This story filled me with such happiness that I am still shaking my head over it. Needless to say: I love it!
Aaron and Josh meet when they are younger and hustling to learn their craft. We get to journey through their initial, “Oh, I don't have to time to get involved!” to existing for those moments they get to be together. Smh. They should know better. (chuckle)
We also get to see what young people do, even if some actions are not the best idea. Then of course there is the inevitable breakup.
Flash forward and we get to see the growth of two wonderful men. The benefit of seeing both versions of their history? Lots and lots of sex! Charlie Novak burns up the pages with their connection.
I think seeing where Aaron and Josh started and where they end up is how Novak ensures you are invested in the characters. Adding the issues of addiction deepens our relationship with Aaron and Josh.
All I can really say is that Charlie Novak got to me as did Aaron and Josh. Summer Kisses is definitely a story you want to experience.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
